Need a Conformation Handler?
First of all, what is a Conformation Handler? A Conformation or Show Handler is not a person who leads obedience classes. If you are looking for someone to do that, go to our section "Need an Obedience Trainer?". Some people like to show their dogs in the conformation ring. When showing for conformation, a dog competes against other dogs and is judged against a breed standard. Each breed has a standard that describes the ideal representative dog. The breed standard covers all aspects of the dog's appearance. A Show Handler is a professional
who knows how to 'handle' your dog in the show ring. He/she will take your dog and present it in the
best possible way in front of the judge. A Handler's duties vary but may include some or all of the
following: bathing the dog, grooming and clipping, boarding, and/or handling. They also train their
clients' dogs how to behave in the show ring. Many provide classes to those clients who wish to
learn how to show their own dogs. Handlers may travel across the country to show specific dogs in
various different cities and provinces. Some will take dogs to Canada to compete there. If you would like to find a Handler in your area,
