Need an Obedience Trainer?

First of all, what is an Obedience Trainer

An obedience trainer is not a person who takes your dog into the conformation show ring. If you are looking for someone to do that, go to our section "Need a Conformation Handler?".

All dogs should have some obedience training. It helps you to manage your dog and ensures that the dog knows how to behave.

An Obedience Trainer is a professional who knows how to help you learn these management tools. He/she will lead classes generally for a group of dogs at one time. This also provides another very important opportunity for your dog: socialization to others. Training varies from basic commands such as "Sit", "Stay", "Off", "Down", and "Come" that will help you deal with your dog on a daily basis to commands required in more complex settings such as the competition obedience ring, agility competition, or flyball.
